A former colleague and friend who carpooled with Josseline said, "Josseline was kind, dedicated, hard working, intelligent, full of dreams, ambitious and proud of her achievements," adding she was "really funny, lively and teasing."

Another colleague said that "Josseline was such a positive, warm-hearted and encouraging person with a big heart.

She liked to laugh and joke and always smiled."

A colleague who worked with her in Sierra Leone said, "She had a gift to see through people and it seemed as if she was on earth to make everybody's life a happier one. Because of her, I fell in love with Africa."

An avid jogger, Josseline also visited her mother at every opportunity and was in the process of building a house for her mother.
