I am a science teacher (and assistant director) of a small private school in the Dominican Republic.

everything you know about tarantulas that would apply to this species so I can educate my kids and the other teachers.

The Dominicans are convinced that tarantula bites are always fatal :o( and changing that ain't gonna be easy. We will not handle it and will be cautious when dropping in food and wetting the sponge.

If you are willing, please share your knowledge.

There is VERY little on the internet.
