Watch the Maximsnew Work Haiti Important Elections On Sunday Un's Edmund Mulet Un Minustah video, MaximsNewsNetwork 23 November 2010 -- UN MINUSTAH Port-au-Prince, Haiti - With less than a week to go before presidential elections in Haiti, the United Nations Stabilization mission in the Caribbean country MINUSTAH continues to mobilize its resources to help Haitians vote in a secure environment more than 4000 electoral security agents are being trained by United Nations UN Police and these agents will be in charge of securing the 11000 polling offices. Political troubles have started to erupt in several parts of the country last week but Edmond Mulet, Chief of MINUSTAH, reassured that this vote, when it will be counted and added to the others, it will be respected. According to Mulet, this will be the first time that election will be held on the date set by the Haitian constitution. And the drive to restore stability in the country is high despite the devastation caused by a major earthquake, Cholera outbreak and floods. He added that support and money as well as a legitimate government are needed to help Haiti's reconstruction. After dispatching the electoral material, MINUSTAH is now deploying its 8600 military force as well as 3200 UN Police who are working alongside the Haitian National Police to ensure a peaceful and secure election. ......
